Installation menu
From this installation menu you can alter a few different things in your receiver. You can scroll through the various options by pressing the UP or DOWN key on the remote. All options can by activated by pressing OK.
  • Select video to TV - This enables the videopath from the D/A convertors to the scart socket on the back. You would best leave this setting as is.
  • Select pin 8 to TV - This controls the switching voltage on TV-scart pin 8. If you switch this off, chances are that the connected television (or AUX input of an analog receiver) will fail to automatically recognise that the D-Box is switched on.
  • Select MPEG RGB on/off -
  • Select RGB on/off - This effectively controls the switching voltage on TV-scart pin 16. When set to on, the connected television will display the video coming from the D-box in RGB format, taken that the TV supports this. You would have to use a fully wired scart cable to benefit from the enhanced picture quality that RGB offers.
  • Select power on/off - This is similar to pressing the standby key on the remote and will switch off the receiver. From this menu however, the receiver will boot-up again after a few seconds, whereas if you used the remote standby button, it will be switched off permanently.
  • Select sound on/off - Comparable to the MUTE key on the remote.
  • Select 12V on/off - On the back of the receiver you will find a phono socket labeled 12V. By pressing OK on the remote, you can control the voltage delivered by this socket. Please note that the setting is not permanent. When you leave the menu, the old situation will be restored. This setting is for test purposes only !
  • Select 22KHz on/off - This controls the 22KHz tone sent to your LNB. By pressing OK you can switch from high band to low band.
  • Select LNB power - Press 1 for vertical or 2 for horizontal.
  • Select LNB voltage adjust -
  • The time is now - For information purposes only, this option displays the current time.
  • Key = AV - Using the RIGHT arrow, you can change AV into whatever function you would like to test. The purpose of this function is to send infrared control commands to your VCR in order to test that they work properly.
  • Mode = 1
  • Select send VCR command=OK - The command as entered in 'Key=AV' will now be send to the VCR the minute you press OK on your remote.

Please note, that for every setting you would like to see stored, you will have to go back to the main menu by pressing the LEFT arrow, then select 8 (receiver setup menu), press DOWN (select to save parameters) followed by OK. All settings you made will now be stored.
